Editorial
The present Atlas of Schistosomiasis and STH Transmission in Cameroon is an important tool to drive the control/elimination activities. The purpose of the Atlas is to assist the ministry of health, decision makers and stakeholders involved in the fight against these diseases.
Le présent Atlas de la Transmission de la Schistosomiase et des Géohelminthiases au Cameroun est un outil important pour guider la politique de lutte contre ces maladies parasitaires. Il a pour but d’aider le ministère de la santé publique, les décideurs et les parties prenantes à mettre sur pied les stratégies optimales pour éliminer ces maladies.

Training of Investigators and Survey Team
Training workshops were organized prior the start of surveys. Trainees were recruited amongst a pool of well experienced surveyors and laboratory technicians involved in past epidemiological studies.
In order to assess the levels of infection prevalence and intensities, and the distribution of the different species of schistosomes and STH, parasitological surveys were conducted in selected schools across the targeted health districts.
